The second car wasn't much better. Out of the box there was white paint smudges all over the chassis of the car. There are two decorative fins near the rear of the car that don't seem to serve any purpose other than to fall off and infuriate the user. To charge the car you need to unscrew the back panel and hook up the ac adapter to the hidden plug. On BOTH of the cars the plug's metal contacts were bent out of alignment and required careful repositioning to charge either of them. After following the charging instructions the first car didn't work at all and was promptly returned. The second car ran for 2 minutes and then the battery was drained so much that all the tires would do is vibrate. I'm returning the second one and taking my money to a different car. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful: = Durability: This review is from: XPV Super Terranator Orange 27 MHz (Toy) The Super Terranator is a VERY fast and really fun toy RC car. It had TONS of torque, you definitely don't want to run this indoors as it goes from still to full speed in a second! Its very easy to spin in circles, slide turn, and run across just about any surface. Racing lightning speed across puddles of mud and water is really fun and allowed since the case is waterproof, though its not made to float or be submerged in water. This really should be a 5 star toy but...
as the other reviewer stated the battery life is horrendous. Perhaps we are just getting a bad batch of cars but I charged the battery for 5 hours as the instructions stated and was only able to play for about 5 minutes. My second charge, again about 4 hours this time, allowed for less than 5 minutes of play. The unit has a green light that turns off when the charging is complete. It now takes about 2-3 hours for the unit to charge but I can not get more than 5 minutes of play time. This review is from: XPV Super Terranator Orange 27 MHz (Toy) We have 2 of these the green and orange. They both will run for about 15 minutes or just enough time to terrorize the dog , run into the car and fling gravel all over the place . They are fast and you better aim them toward hard objects or things will be destroyed( not the car but things like ankles). I actually bought 2 more for backups and spare parts. I have not had anything go wrong with these. |
