I am by no means an expert in using the soldering iron, but these DO NOT change shape from the heat. The previous commenter must not have tinned his iron enough or bought a cheap iron. I RECOMMEND these plugs. Mine are superb.

These connectors are great. They are a great upgrade over Traxxas or Tamiya. They are very easy to plug and unplug, but they hold on great in the car and don't unplug themselves. They are easy to solder, and also easy to unsolder. I would recommend them. As they are a great upgrade. They can also handle great amounts of current. They can run a Mamba Monster (1/8) on 4s lipo without even warming up. Highly recommend, and a great upgrade for any car.

These plugs are deans compatible but are made of much softer plastic that start to soften as soon as you solder the wire to the connector. They work fine, but you have to solder quickly to keep them from melting. I will get real deans plugs in the future.
