I have a Stampede, and I was very excited to learn this new Raptor model was being released. It is a great looking model, and the suspension is very plush. This new controller has more features than my old stampede controller, like a "steering ratio" that lets it steer slower the faster the truck goes to help keep it in control in high speed.

I already had one of these Bastens high performance LiPo batteries Bastens LiPo 7.4V 5000mAH upgrade battery for the Traxxas 2x4 4x4 VXL Stampede / Bandit / Slash / E-Revo / E-Maxx / Summit - a must upgrade or a high capacity alternative replacement - a factory fit! - for my Stampede, and it installed directly into the 5806 Raptor. All I had to do was set the Raptor controller to "LiPo" mode.

this is a real tough RC truck that is built to withstand all the punishment you can give it. Tough plastics, nice agressive tires and power to spare. Highly recommended amongst all the rc trucks and desert cars out there. A bit pricy, but worth every penny.
