I use this battery pack in a Traxxas Slash RC truck and it provides good power and run time. Battery provides good power until fully used.

This Traxxas 3000mAh 7 cell 8.4v battery offers excellent performance but NiMH technology has a tendency to degrade in performance during the use of the battery. For example if you getting 10 min of run time the first 5 min of performance is way better than the last 5 min. I have found that it is best to upgrade to LiPo technology because you will not experience this with a LiPo battery as LiPo's offer the same power through cycle of use.
In addition when switching to LiPo technology often for the same cost you can get more drive time. To figure out how much more drive time you need to look at the mAh rating (really you need to look at the Watt Hour rating but this gets confusing and only makes sense to engineers) ... so back to my point. With this battery you get 3000mAh but when you look at the following LiPo battery you can 60% more run time ( 3000 / 5000 = 60% )...Read more
