Product Review

This R/C UH-64 Apache Military helicopter is ready-to-fly straight out of the box. It's constructed from high impact plastic, which makes it durable and solid. Thanks to its Gyro flight stability system, you won't believe the extreme maneuverability and how easy it is to fly. This helicopter also comes with dual Rotor blades which makes turning left and right easier and more controllable than ever before. Every time you charge the helicopter, you'll have 10-12 full minutes of flight time fun.

I must say that this chopper has great look and very good performance while it lasted. I bought it back in August 2011 and it was one of my favorite helicopters. Since I started this hobby not too long ago, I have bought over 24 other choppers and I have to admit this Apache flew very well and Syma makes some of the best easy-to-fly helicopters. (But E-FLITE, in my opinion, makes excellent quality helis. Even their fixed-pitch helis are very easy to master. )
Anyway today, all of a sudden, the heli could not generate enough power to take off. I changed the battery and it still did not work. (FYI: It will take a E-flite 7.4 volt battery) No doubt, I am disappointed now but believe it or not I am going to purchase another one. Hopefully, the new unit will not have the same problem.

Fun, fabulous flying as I've come to expect from Syma. This larger 'outdoor' sized copter is impressive. Nicely modeled, pretty darn big, performs GREAT. Flies stable and well. Definitely NOT a good candidate for indoor flying like the minis, unless you have a very large space indeed (large great room with vaulted ceiling, gym, etc.)... I have flown it indoors in a large living room, and it's plenty controllable to do so - just not much fun as you're really just trying to avoid hitting the walls or ceiling in that small a space.

like all outdoor heli's I've experienced, this one tolerates virtually no wind at all. You need a really still day. But given that, it flies extremely well. Plenty of range, can easily go higher than I want to fly it, lots of power. It would easily blast away the first-fallen leaves off my trees.

It does have a much more noticeable "ground effect" than the minis (as do real helicopters). Within about a foot of the ground, the 'blowback'...Read more

Great chopper for the price($55). Beginner mode and master mode are great. it' an outdoor chopper although you need zero wind. I got mine up to 30 feet high. one hour charge for about 7 min. flight time. I don't like the antenna haning down 12 inches from the bottom of chopper.
