RC SYMA 28" Racing Boat R/C Electric Powered Wind Speed Motor Ship Radio Remote Control Yacht Cruiser

I bought this RC boat for my 3 sons to play with at the lake for Christmas. The boat arrived exactly as described, and after a 5 hour initial battery charge, we headed down to the lake to try it out.

1st impressions in the water: Boat is very fast and easily maneuverable. Even my 3 year old was able to control the boat with some assistance. Note that this boat is of hobby grade quality, and designed for a fairly large open body of water like a pond or lake. If you want something for the pool, head to Target or Walmart.

I would say we're going to get alot of fun out of this boat, but as I would imagine is the case for all RC boats of this power, battery life is very, very short. We got about 15 minutes of full power, then the motors started winding down rather quickly. Having said that, for the price I feel that this toy is a good value and the majority of kids would be very surprised at how fast it is.

The product arrived on time. The packaging is very cheap, but the product was in decent shape. My son and I went through 3 PX-16's, all with different defective issues. We chose this boat as the replacement. The boat has two slightly smaller motors, but do not overheat because of a fan set up where the motor attaches to the prop shaft. The product comes without the stickers attached, which is a plus becasue you can choose the ones you want and can actually put them on correctly. The antenna for the remote is hidden behind a piece of paper taped to the styrofoam in the box. Overall, the boat is great so far. Plenty of speed for a 10 year old and I have to admit that it has his father hooked on getting a brushless boat setup later on down the road. The battery included is not very good. I purchased an Amazon.com combo back that included 2 Tenergy 7.2V 3800MA batteries and a 2 hour charger (use the Tamiya connectors). I received the boat, no issues. Boat screamed on the water this was super. Battery doeant last too long, thats ok, it chases off the Coots. Its been a month, the boat is ready for the garbage can. This boat received light usage and has a major problem already. I noticed that the boat would accelerate on its own from time to time. Now one motor runs full speed, the other not at all. Tried to turn off the boats power, the motor runs until the battery is unplugged. This is a dangerous condition as the propellers are sharp and fast, and wont stop. It was fun while it lasted. Not Recommended, and certainly not for kids.
