The original Radian is better, even without ailerons. The Radian Pro is heavy; partly because it has flaps and ailerons. It's hard to keep aloft on thermals, because of its weight. Putting the wings on is a major 10 minute struggle, because the aileron & flaps' servo wires are too short, and then you have to cram them all into the center of the fuselage behind the wing inserts. And it frequently happens that the wires will get pinched in between the wing and the fuselage. Who knows how long the wires will last before the conductor inside becomes broken? I highly recommend the original Radian (without ailerons). You won't be using much of the ailerons anyway, because this is a glider, not an aerobatic plane.

Having transitioned from the Radian to the pro I can say I was a little disappointed. The climb rate is not good, the roll rate is not good, it does not thermal as well as the Radian. The good is, with flaps and spoilers you can land anywhere and not worry about a long glide. All in all the glider is ok, but I could have stayed with the Radian and been just as happy. Maybe a stronger motor to get the climb rate up, the pro can not go straight up, the Radian can, out of sight.
