The main purpose of this review is to fill out the woefully inadequate specs list that is provided on this page.
-1/8 in STEREO trainer/computer interface port
-Elevon & V-Tail Mixing
-2.4GHz
-digital trim on ch.1-4
-four stick-controlled channels, a fifth button-controlled one (the receiver has six, but there does not seem to be a function for it on the remote control)
-on the receiver, the POSITIVE power plugs in on the BOTTOM MIDDLE plug, and the NEGATIVE power plugs in on the BOTTOM RIGHT plug (this is not in the manual)
-servo reversing on ch. 1-4
-adjustable travel volume (ATV) on ch.1-2
HOWEVER, I will also provide my review.
The Hitec Optic 5 is a great transmitter at a good price. It has lots of features (see above). if you have big hands, the Optic will feel right at home, as not only is the transmitter huge, but the stick length is adjustable from medium-long to extremely long. UPDATE: A few days after I wrote my review, the transmitter changed sellers and the price was raised from $85 to about $145. It is NO LONGER a good value. You can find this elsewhere for nearly half the price. Also, I incorrectly referred to the trainer port as stereo. It is mono.
