Very glad that I picked this up. I thought that my original NiMH battery had died. I almost purchased a new battery first, but then decided that maybe the charger was the issue. It could have gone either way, but in my case, I'm glad that I picked this up.
The feedback that you get is better than the batter charger. Light is green when plugged into AC, then turns red while charging. Blinks green when charging is almost finished and then stays solid green once the battery is fully charged.
Given the choice, it might make more sense to upgrade to a Lipo battery and charger, since you get improved performance. In my case, I'm glad that I was able to squeeze some additional life out of my stock battery as I wasn't ready to upgrade yet.
The only other comment that I have is that in hind sight, this seems like an accessory that should come standard with the micro T trucks, but I'm sure they don't include it to cut down on the cost.
