This review is from: Exceed RC 2.4Ghz Falcon 40 -Channel Radio Remote Control RC Helicopter RTF Fixed Pitch - 100% Ready-to-Fly (Toy) This Heli is good for outside use and is very stable. I crashed it atleast 10 times and 2 of those where tough crashes before I broke anything (Main Blade hit a clothes line at full throttle). This is good for a helicopter, it is hobby quality and is more stable than my MSR is. If you are a beginner do yourself a favor and get a couple extra main blades ($6 a pair) and some practice gear. Practice gear is just a couple of plastic rods and 4 ping pong balls zip tied to the bottom to keep the chopper from landing hard and keep it from changing directions too suddenly.
Overall I would say this is the best deal for a beginner helicopter. I would buy again and will recommend this to anyone that will listen. I was wrong with this one this FP will take to the sky with even a breeze of wind when you power down to try and get it down you loose your power to fight the wind. I have crashed my 3d's about 3 times since I have had them this thing I have crashed so much I maybe had 3 good non windy days that it flew well and did not crash (here in MN we do not have many non breezy days it may fly better if you live in an area with very little wind). The fly bar and canopy are usually the first two things that brake the blades on the other hand are awesome and take the abuse. The tail is shabby and vibrates having no stabilization and when it brakes you have to desolder the tail motor to replace the shaft. Also the 3n1 (receiver) does an alright job (no hands free tho) except I bought an additional battery and two flights 10 mins...Read more |
