This is certainly harder to build than you would think. I wasn't able to properly attach the body to the kit. I think it is impossible with only 2 adult hands. But I am satisfied with its appearance. The RC functionality is terrible. You have to point the antenna of the controller at the car or signal is lost, at least indoors. It does make a great decoration on my shelf.
My greatest disappointment was that you only build the body, not the motor or anything else. The body sits on a terrible RC car. I really wanted to upgrade it and race it, but that is not going to happen without some serious effort. Also it would be practically impossible without disassembly, which I would not recommend.
In regards to Erector, I have always wanted to have them since I was a kid because I loved Lego's, but I am terribly disappointed. Especially with the value. Over half of the parts are nuts and bolts. If I were to rename this product, it would be "expensive nuts and...Read more

This product is definitely not for anyonone under 10. The pieces are difficult to put together and the instructions do not provide easy step by step assembly. Be prepared to provide alot of assistance and maybe even get a bit frustrated yourself - as I was:)

Opened it up and began assembling, only to come to a stand-still due to 2 missing pieces. Have been unable to access their web site for some reason, and find no customer service number. Also, the direction controls seem to be reversed. Think it is awesome that the set DOES come with batteries, however. And though the packaging says this set is appropriate for a 7-year-old, I wouldn't recommend this for a child under 10 for the difficulty (unless they are advanced for their age).
