GWSAE0014 (ESTARTER NPS---White)
Overview
GWS E-Starter is the best choice with great value for those newer pilots who want some aileron experience flexibility of using only three channels if you so desire. It has the looks and flight characteristics of a trainer.

Very stable in flight and has the ability to right itself because of the dehiedral in the wing. It will require assembly (several hours)so you will need a little airplane knowledge. It also has no electrics so this is an additional cost unless you have some from another plane. I really enjoy flyin this plane, just got my third. The first lasted a long time (it still flys, just really beat up). = Durability: This review is from: E-Starter Airplane: NPS (Toy) Video review on Youtube (search my ID = theleabres) coming on this awesome foamie. I built my last month and have been flying it daily. For the price, this offers the best experience for a second plane, for someone who already mastered a 3 channel beginner like the HobbyZone Champ. What's good about this kit is you can set it up however way you want to fly and then with spare motors/props you can just pop off the cowling, change out the motor/prop and you can go slow and hover or go fast like in pylon racing. Set up the ailerons the way you want, factory or extra deflection if you want ridiculously quick snap rolls!
The plane is completely completely stable has plenty of lift and the sleek body allows for faster runs unlike my GWS J3 Cub. The wings are durable and comes with a Carbon Fiber or Fiberglass spar so the struts are optional unless you plan to 90 degree dives and extreme aerobatics. The foam is dense and accepts paint well (don't spray too close cuz the...Read more 3 of 5 people found the following review helpful: By = Durability: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: E-Starter Airplane: NPS (Toy) Perhaps I didn't read the fine print, but I thought this would be a simple plane to get into the RC world. But, after we got it, we started to set it up and realized we didn't have everything we needed. We took it to the hobby shop and he told me it would take about $400 to get it up and running. He did add, however, that it would/is a GREAT RC plane. We are beginners (son is 8) and need to start with something must simpler. May return it, but awfully expensive to ship back. Instead, might build the model and hang it in my son's room. |
