I have been into hobby-grade rc vehicles for about a year and this is actually my first electric rc I usually run nitros. However this rc is one of the best I have ever run not as fast as my nitro's but it is still stock. I have already bought another more powerful battery for it and a speed charger because 5 hours is too long to wait for a charge. Very durable I can hit curb after curb after curb and just a couple of scratches in the thick plastic. However it is not water proof do not try it. But the parts are extremely well made the hobby shop that I bought it from said that a guy who bought one there put a 100 dollar Lithium-Polymer battery, very powerful very long lasting for those of you who don't know, and didn't blow the stock engine or transmission. It is priced nicely and will stand up to most any beating you give it. Also while running it into your leg isn't recommended other cars will hurt a lot more I didn't even bruise from this one. We bought two of these for our two boys after taking them to an indoor RC race track. They wanted one right then, but we did some homework first. These are the least expensive true hobby grade RC trucks we found. For those that do not know, hobby grade means they are not just toys that you throw away when something breaks, they have replaceable and upgradeable parts. I just ordered upgraded (12 turn) motors and better battery packs to make them faster, now that the boys have learned how to drive them well. We have had only a couple minor broken steering components after many many big jumps, and the replacement parts are readily available and very inexpensive. From what I have read about this truck, the chassis is very similar to a Traxxis and many of the higher end parts are interchangeable. For example, if you change the hex drive hubs and drive pins to the Traxxis brand, you can use any Traxxis wheel and not be stuck with the one wheel/tire offering from Electrix. These trucks have...Read more

this is a cheap hobby level car that is great for the money. you will want another battery and a better charger however.
