Pros: - It goes a reasonably far distance on the radio (i.e., without losing it's signal). - The battery is lithium ion. - The battery holds a decent charge - the car runs long enough for my 5 year old to get his fun out of it before recharging (at least 20 minutes of driving; by then he's usually ready for something different). - So far, seems to be sufficiently durable (about a week of running into things). - Has some kind of rear posi-traction (i.e., if one rear wheel loses traction, it seems to drive the other rear wheel). - The battery in the car is easily removable, so if you want to buy a second battery, you can easily swap a discharged battery for newly charged one and keep driving. - Has a mechanical "trim" adjustment for the front wheels, for making sure the car...Read more 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: By Book Master Pete "Book Master Pete" (New York, NY United States) - See all my reviews = Durability: This review is from: Carrera Shadow Wolf - Scale 1:16 (Toy) Great durable toy! I bought this rc car and another Carrera rc car for my 2 sons so they could race. Both were well built and very sturdy. And the charge (unlike many rc cars) lasts a long time. I gave this one to my five year old for Christmas. He loves it. So do I. It has a fast and slow setting. He learned how to maneuver on the slow setting and can now race well on the fast setting. He repeatedly crashed it while he was learning how to use it and caused almost no damage to the car. Very impressive product. Worth the extra bucks. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By mprice (Phoenix, AZ United States) - See all my reviews = Durability: This review is from: Carrera Shadow Wolf - Scale 1:16 (Toy) After going through lots of models from New Bright, I ordered this for my 5 year old, and he loves it. It's fast, and it's seems like it's holding up well. It feels like the $50 Radio Shack model I remember fondly as a kid, and not the flimsy junk that lines the shelves of the local big boxes.
