Product Description
Weighing in at under one ounce, the nimble Blade® mSR RTF takes ultra micro helicopter performance to the next level. It comes from the factory completely assembled and flight tested with everything you need to get flying. At the heart of the Blade mSR’s design is a Bell-Hiller rotor head that provides the kind of speed and agility you would expect of a single-rotor heli but maintains a measure of positive stability similar to a coaxial heli. This blend of agility and stability makes it the ideal “next step” for someone moving up from a coaxial heli, such as the Blade CX3 or Blade mCX.
For single-rotor ultra micro heli excitement you can fly almost anywhere, the Blade mSR simply can’t be beat.

Summary: Loads of fun! 2010-06-09
Comment: This little Heli is Fast!
I have the MCX and bought this one as the next step up.
There is a big difference between the MCX and this one.
This MSR is quick! Sure I broke a few parts, but going full speed into a wall a few times will do that. Besides the parts are easy to find and very affordable.

Comment: First off, this thing isn't really a "toy", i.e. if you give it to your 8 year old for his/her first heli, it probably won't end well.
That being said, the blade msr is _super_ stable, our local hobby shop (lhs), likened keeping a larger single rotor heli to "balancing a marble on top of a pencil", you're pretty much always fidgeting with the controls just to keep it steady. With the msr, if you correct the tilt back to default position, it hold a hover all by itself.
So, it's stable, but it's also very quick, even in beginner mode. You'll want plenty of room to navigate with when you're getting started.
Personally, I've crashed my msr multiple times, only once I would consider a hard crash (i.e. full throttle, straight into the ground), and I've yet to replace anything. The only heli I'd ever flown before the msr was the mcx, but a buddy of mine just picked up an msr as his first rc heli with any flight time and he's doing just fine.
I would say above all else, read the manual! It sounds dumb, but really it's got all sorts of tips that make your first time out of the box a much more pleasant experience. fyi this heli can "grow" as your skills grow, i.e. you can make it more responsive/faster with a simple click on the controller, even more so if you switch the links on the swashplate. Youtube blade msr and you'll see how fast people can get it going.

Comment: I am a oversea buyer, the toy was miss assemble and can only fly backward. it is very hard for me to bring it back to US and ask for exchange. I had ask some players about the toy, answer for the defect is unable to fix it in Taiwan. So I play it fly BACKWARD. Please have good quality comtrol of the toy even you just the sales not the manufacture, what you sale need to responsible.

Comment: After buying a professional level 3D acrobatic helicopter as my first RC and crashing it horribly, I needed to step back and gain experience. This is the smoothest flying RC Heli I've ever flown. Waaaaay better than co-axial. She almost flies herself. I had her in the air hovering and sliding back and forth within minutes of takeoff. Great beginner RC!! As recommended as can be!!

Comment: This helicopter has a very weak landing gear and tail motor. There is no quick way to fix the landing gear when it breaks, and they are $5 a pop. I broke mine after about 15 flights. The tail motor cap pops out during crashes sometimes and ruins the tail motor if you put the end cap back on wrong. These are $15 to replace. There are many fixes to the tail motor issue, but I haven't found a good one yet. I've tried two, there are many more to try.
As for the positive, its a great helo to fly. It is very fast and nimble.
