Product Review

The all-new AX10 Scorpion RTC is based upon the award winning AX10 Scorpion kit. No need to add your electronics or spend countless hours building, this bad-boy is ready-to-crawl right out of the box! As with the ARTR AX10 Scorpion kit, the RTC AX10 was designed from the ground up, and every detail was thought through to provide a competition level platform to work with. Previously the only way to build a serious competition capable rock crawler was to buy bits and pieces of several different kits and fuse them together. This long and frustrating process could take as long as several months just to get the right parts together before you could even start the build. Now you can get a factory built, ready-to-crawl Scorpion AX10 and be able to hit the rocks in no time.Standard features include true beadlocks, 14-tooth pinion paired with an 87T spur gear, solid rear axle lockouts, aluminum chassis plates, full ball bearings and fully locked differentials. To get you rocking out of the box, Axial has supplied this AX10 with a 2-channel radio system, durable ESC, hi-torque metal gear steering servo, and a 55T 540 sized electric motor. To keep your AX10 planted firmly on the rocks, Axial has mounted the Pro-Line Hammers with Pro-Line Memory Foams to their 2.2? 8-hole beadlocks. In addition to their 3 link suspension setup, the AX10 features universal front and rear drive shafts and an entirely new threaded shock body setup.

THe better toys to have fun off road and crawl. Nice chassis, and have many out or others brands, stuff to custom the crawl car. the price is ok.

I bought this for my 4 year old this xmas. Now I know it says 12 and older, but the great thing about a rock crawler is it goes very slow so its perfect for a little kid to play and learn how to steer. The car is well made and even though it cost $300 I liked the idea if he breaks something on it you can order all replacement parts online.
You can completely customize this if you want and can get the 27T motor later on will make it go twice as fast. the slower speed is great for indoor use, BUT we have brought it outside and that's even more fun.

I did make new holes in the body to rise it up an extra 3/4" inch for better clearance around the body and wheels
.
We ordered the 7.2 4800 maH batteries and that was a good choice. we have been running the car on and off for days and I haven't had to charge the battery. Also the receiver only take 4aa batteries NOT 8aa

I think if you want to get into RC trucks this is a great one to start with. I got the...Read more
