I purchased this ESC after burning up a turnigy HV ESC and I should have just gone with the Phoenix to begin with. It worked great right out of the box with the Phoenix link and I am no longer worried about setting my airplane on fire. Make sure to read through the manual for all the fine print setup notes. The biggest one for me was not realizing the ESC takes up to 4 seconds to calibrate the throttle every single time you plug it in. As a result it is important to conduct a runup prior to taking off so you have the full available power.
One of the best features of this ESC is data logging capability. Unfortunately i'm not too sure how accurate the system might actually be. I have read some other reports that indicate the current draw that is recorded is slightly higher than actual. Otherwise, it's a great feature and I absolutey use it to max extent possible.
Overall, for the price I paid ($234), I got a whole lot of ESC. If I could go back and just avoid...Read more
