I purchased this RC truck thinking it was durable and could be used off road. Sadly, it does neither. Don't let the paint job fool you because it does not work on grass, unless you have a smooth golf course like putting green.
Pros:
* Nice paint job. Looks durable.
Cons:
* Does not run on grass.
* Large turning radius, especially when the truck is about 12" foot.
* Antenna sleeve does not stay on truck. Need to glue to keep in place.
* No rechargable battery. Requires 5 AA in truck and 2 AA in transmitter.

My son got a Mud Slinger and a regular F-150 for Christmas. The Mud Slinger doesn't feel as durable, doesn't have a rechargeable battery and definitely can't go on anything other than pavement. The distance says 100' but I don't feel that is truly accurate for a regular suburban area. Maybe interference with other signals, I'm not sure but he definitely couldn't control it past about 50'. He was disappointed that it can't off road into even the grass. Fun for street racing but the other model definitely out performs.
Very disapointing,

I originally wrote this review on the hummer by new bright but they are all basically the same with different body types. Here it is, I have had quite a few remote cars in my day. Everthing from very basic little cars to gas powered 4 wheel drive race cars that can hit 60 mph. My wife picked this up and in the box it looked ok. It actually looked pretty beefy and I was excited to play with it with my son Christmas morning. Boy was I Disappointed (yes that's disappointed with a capitol D). While the paint job is cool, and the truck itself looks pretty rugged, it is everything but. It can barely move through the grass and the turning radius is laughable. At the price point listed please avoid this product. I would be reluctant to pay more than 20.00 for a RC vehicle this weak.
