It's a little slow so if you expect a fast car, you should really pay the extra for the brushless version... 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By = Durability: This review is from: Traxxas 7105 1/16 E-Revo Brushed (Toy) Not bad at all. It comes with a battery so you can run it right out of the box. Built well and so far the parts have held up just fine. If you get a 2S lipo the car is quite a bit more fun but can be a hand full to control if you are not used to the extra power. This car has no problems going in low grass and can hang with the big boys as long as you know how to run it. 30 out of the box is not realistic but it isn't far from that on flat hard surfaces. With a series cable you can run two NiMh's and it will fly but the added weight calls for some stiffer springs in my opinion.
Great starter truck...end of story. By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Traxxas 7105 1/16 E-Revo Brushed (Toy) Received truck on Friday and charged battery for the required 6 hours. After battery was charged I took it outside to have some fun. After three minutes of driving i stripped the gears in the servo, without a crash, just normal wear and tear. This is a common problem I have read with the 2080 servos because the gears are plastic, not metal. Also after I installed the new gears the car would not communicate with my transmitter. I called Traxxas and they are sending me new crystals, so I have to wait another week for them to come. Im really disappointed by the quality of this product. |
