This review is from: 1/10 Crawler King w/Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Body RTR (Toy) I bought this RC Jeep for my 16 y/o son. This is a hobby grade RC vehicle, and not a toy in the true sense of the word. He and everyone else who plays with it, (including me) has a blast with it. It is well built and durable, but it does require some knowledge of RC. The single drawback to this vehicle is the gearbox ratio. It is geared too high for rock crawling. Order the low range gearbox #87634, if you plan on doing some serious rock crawling. This review is from: 1/10 Crawler King w/Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Body RTR (Toy) Was a little apprehensive about buying this with zero reviews. This is a cool looking toy but for $240.00 you think it would last more than 1 week. My son played with this a total of 3 battery usages (about 35-40 min per charge). He took it on a trip with him and turned in on and starting playing with until and noticed a burning smell and smoke coming from the hood. I pulled the unit apart and noticed the wire from the battery had melted and was shorting out the unit. I would stay away from this brand all together. Now I have to file a warranty claim and if it doesn't work out, I will issue a charge back. |
